Thank you for opening this newsletter, we hope you enjoy the update!
Preparing our newsletter for you and looking back over the past few months is always fun for us. In this issue we’re sharing some project information on Chase Bank at the LeBron James Family Foundation House 330, a renovation project at First Congregational Church, and the Fire Maintenance Building Kitchen and common area renovation, all in Akron. We’re also sharing the completion of Dollar General in New Philadelphia, OH, the ribbon cutting of Oakmont Education’s Marshall addition in Middletown, OH, as well as an in-house design project for Dunkin’ in Kent. We also can’t help but share some of the fun times with our team and helping others…which you know we LOVE!
First quarter reports are in, and we continue to face the same challenges often on a broader scale and across our industry as more and more supply and material segments are becoming affected by cost increases and supply chain issues. We look forward to the day we can stop talking about it, but that day is not here, and experts predict it may be a while. We have appreciated the patience of our clients during this time. While there isn’t a guarantee on when these challenges will ease, we want to assure you we will continue to communicate them with you as they arise so we can all be on the same page. I’ve included industry update articles that I hope you find helpful.
If you are considering a project of any size, please contact us by email to jbrandle@metisconstruction.com or direct at 330.858.6672.
All the best to you and your team!

All nominees brought together their own network to form an impact team, set a goal, raise funds, and raise awareness in our community.
This Women of Impact Team raised over $156k for the American Heart Association. Visit Heart.org to see how you can still support their mission.

Metis Moment
Girl Scouts of North East Ohio
“I have had the pleasure of working with this company for the past five years on a variety of projects big and small, at various challenging locations. In total, these projects represent about $12 million in expenditures for Girl Scouts of North East Ohio. This was a monumental master planning project for us, driven by our members and carried their high expectations of the transformation they envisioned for our camps, a mix of infrastructure and system improvements. Metis delivered on this challenge, from water systems and fire suppression to modern cabins and a program center that has been called the most beautiful and innovative in the country by the national CEO of Girl Scouts.
It is not enough though, to work with an organization of skilled staff, I think it is even more important to work with a company with exemplary customer service. There will always be issues with construction, that’s inevitable. What is important is how issues get resolved and the care, communication and cheer imbedded in the resolution process. That is where Metis, I think, stands out among the rest. I once approached our site supervisor with a minor issue that I noticed but thought needed immediate attention as our grand opening was fast approaching. I started to say, “this is minor but” … and was immediately interrupted with this response: “If it is important to you, it is important to me.”
And in the end isn’t that what we want? A company that can bring skill and knowledge to the table, backed up by a deep empathy for the goals, dreams and priorities of the client? Couple that with competitive pricing and vigilant follow through and you have the Metis experience.”
